Ever since it became widely known that Tina Lagao was the studio singer, not only for “Are You Ready To Fly” and “Can’t Stop Raving” but for most Dune songs back in the days, I have received many messages claiming that Verena never sang at all. However, that is simply not true! Snippets of Verena’s actual voice were used in many Dune tracks. Furthermore, when she returned in 1999 for the unreleased “Reunion” album, she insisted on performing the vocals herself. As a result, tracks like “Dark Side Of The Moon,” “Heaven,” “Back To The Future,” “Space Invaders,” and “Here I Am” feature Verena’s full, authentic lead vocals. Her solo career also features her own voice entirely.
